Vic Mackey Says Hello
I finished watching the 3rd season of The Shield today (Canada's CH & Global are a year behind FX), and the last few episodes are the best TV I've seen since the finale of Lost. (Not that there's much competition during the summer, but still.)
Without giving too much away, the culmination of Lem's frightened reluctance in participating in all of the Strike Team's coverups brought out a really great performance from Kenneth Johnson, and a series of shocking moments in the penultimate episode.
The finale finished in a heated confrontation, with more great acting from all involved, especially Michael Chiklis and Walton Goggins.
I should be able to start season 4 soon enough, and I'm really looking forward to it. It'll also be nice to see the beginning of the series again in March, when Spike TV starts airing it in syndication. That's assuming Canadians will get it, of course, which is probably too much to ask. V.I.P. re-runs for everyone!
