Inadvertent Pornowned

I made a few posts yesterday in a thread about porn being released on the PSP's UMD format in Japan. Being the mature bugger I am, the posts were in the form of dumb, including a seemingly innocent picture.

I meant it to be a pink flower, which has a little ring of innuendo to it. After Chev's reply, I looked a little closer. It's strange to focus your brown eyes on a picture, only to realize it's doing the same right back at you.

(My eyes are blue, but I'm not about to let something as trivial as the truth get in the way of making a bad joke. )

It's good to know I can keep up this kind of highbrow material.

I Do The Same Thing

After last night's unfortunate round of taking the dog out, where I got harassed and bitten by bugs in my nearly-stationary position for half an hour, I switched back to daytime. I only have to worry about skin cancer then.

We didn't really go anywhere in 45 minutes. My dog's old, and not in great shape. She'd have trouble keeping a steady walking pace, even to go around the block. So I just let her go where she wants to go, sniff what she wants to sniff, and follow her lead. I haven't been great at doing the walking thing with her over the years, so I'm trying to make up for it now, to make her happy. And if finding a smell she likes, digging it up, then rolling in it for a few minutes makes her happy, so be it.

Alien Abductions: Not Just For Rednecks Anymore

The 4400 is back! I don't know when Space will be picking it up here in Canada, but it starts again this Sunday on USA in the... USA (how convenient). It aired last summer as a 5-episode mini-series, and was successful enough to return this year with a full-time, 13-episode (at least) order.

The basic premise is this: 4400 people were abducted throughout 50+ years by an unknown source. What seemed to be a comet's catastrophic collision with Earth, was actually the abductees' mysterious return. All of them appear after a flash of light. None of them having aged a day.

They try to return to their normal lives, but naturally, things have changed. Loved ones have moved on, or died. Old neighbourhoods are gone. They also notice changes in themselves, by virtue of various supernatural abilities. The general public fears this, of course, not knowing what the 4400's intentions are, or if they're even truly human anymore.

Anyhoo. I'm gonna dig out the video tape this weekend to catch up, and hopefully I'll be able to get myself the new episodes without having to wait for Space. It's a cool show, and if you're into the sci-fi thing at all, you should check it out.
