Crash
I seem to be making a habit out of trumpeting London and Londoners. Oh well.I watched Paul Haggis' movie Crash this morning, and really liked it. There's a handful of emotional moments that are impressively potent. The racial issues are interesting, though it seemed at times like it was pushing that angle pretty hard. Of course, I live in a white bread neighbourhood, so what do I know?
I remember watching the Oscars, and really being blown away by Kathleen "Bird" York performing the song In The Deep. So I spent a good 45 minutes trying to find video of it just now. All it eventually took was a visit to HER WEBSITE, and it was right there. Duh.
Anyhow. If you haven't already, check out Crash. It's my favourite movie since Serenity. I can't say it passes it, since I'm a big Firefly fan, but it comes close.
